NRSC Weekly Rundown: Dems want to repeal tax cuts, Heidi keeps lying, Mexico Joe still isn’t answering questions and more!

And here’s this week’s edition of the NRSC Weekly Rundown:

#TaxReform: Even though the Republican tax cuts were only signed into law two months ago, consumer confidence hit a 17-year high and Americans’ after-tax personal income and real disposable income are the highest folks have seen in five years. #Winning

National: Bernie Sanders headed to Wisconsin and Michigan this past weekend to advocate for repealing the Republican tax cuts that have helped countless Americans across the country, leaving red state Dems in a bind. Will they join calls to repeal?

#NDSen: Heidi Heitkamp claimed that the Republican tax cuts would hurt North Dakota’s farmers. But the American Farm Bureau explained that farmers and ranchers will benefit from the cuts. It’s clear tax reform is working in North Dakota, as Walmart surprised its North Dakotan employees this week with $1,000 bonuses. North Dakotans clearly aren’t happy with Heitkamp’s vote against the tax cuts, as new polling revealed Kevin Cramer leading her 49 to 44.

#OHSen: Members of Ohio’s Craft Brewers Association explained how Republican tax cuts have helped the brewing industry in the state. After all of the flack Sherrod Brown has been getting for voting against the cuts, bet he sure could use a drink!

#MNSen: Tina Smith still hasn’t distanced herself from Keith Ellison’s endorsement despite his connections to the controversial Louis Farrakhan.

#WISen: While Tammy Baldwin touts her vote against the Republican tax cuts, Wisconsin utility customers are projected to save $275 million thanks to tax relief.

#INSen: Mexico Joe Donnelly is holding a Facebook Live Q&A today. Unfortunately, his campaign is screening questions, but we suggested a few subjects that Hoosiers deserve answers to, like whether Mexico Joe supports repealing tax cuts or why he allowed his family business to outsource jobs.
