NRSC Weekly Rundown: New ad: High Five Heidi, Dems’ tax hike plan, McCaskill bashes Trump supporters and more!

And here’s this week’s edition of the NRSC Weekly Rundown:

New Ad: The NRSC rolled out a new digital ad hammering Heidi Heitkamp’s now infamous high five with New York liberal Chuck Schumer. The ad highlights Heidi’s liberal record of voting against North Dakotans.

National: Axios released a poll showing that voters in Trump states represented by Senate Democrats think the economy is better off than it was a year ago and strongly support the GOP tax cuts. Red state Democrats still can’t explain to voters why they voted with their party bosses instead of middle-class families back home.

National: Chuck Schumer and his liberal cronies have rolled out their disastrous tax hike plan. Their trillion-dollar spending plan is seeking to repeal the successful GOP tax cuts that have allowed folks across the country to keep more of their hard-earned paychecks.

#MOSen: Claire McCaskill hit the morning news circuit this week to bash Missourians for voting for President Trump. Helpful hint, it’s not a good idea to go after folks in a state Trump carried by nearly 20 points.

#INSen: If you’re wondering why it’s so hard to get in touch with Mexico Joe Donnelly, you’re not alone! Donnelly is becoming notorious on the Hill for dodging questions, telling reporters to contact his office and not responding for comment.

#NMSen: Martin Heinrich dropped a hypocritical new campaign ad claiming he’s trying to help New Mexico’s economic future get “back on track.” But, his record of voting against the GOP tax cuts helping New Mexicans tells a different story.

#NDSen: It’s no wonder Heidi Heitkamp raised nearly double the amount of money from Californians than from North Dakotans last quarter, Hollywood loves her! Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti announced his support of Heidi’s liberal policies this week. While Heidi gains support from coastal elites, folks at home are noticing her record of voting against North Dakota.
