Privileged Patrick Murphy has a rich Daddy who likes to spoil him: he bought him a business, a seat in Congress, and is prepped to throw another quarter-million at his sinking Senate campaign. But, as last night’s debate made clear, Daddy Murphy forgot to get his son elocution lessons.

He whiffed when grilled about the lies on his resume.

He wobbled when called out for groping women and doing nothing in Congress.

About the only coherent thought Privileged Pat could get out was declaring his “100 percent” trust in Hillary Clinton. No, really:

Murphy has unabashedly supported Clinton, including saying he trusts her “100 percent” despite the scandal with her private email server. When asked why Floridians should trust him when polls show most of them don’t trust Clinton, Murphy pivoted to a stock answer instead of directly answering and then shifted back to criticizing Trump.

Senator Rubio, take it away:

“If Congressman Murphy trusts Hillary Clinton 100 percent, he’s in rare company…Not even Tim Kaine is willing to say that, and he’s her running mate.”

The Miami Herald said Murphy was “visibly flustered” during the debate and the Tampa Bay Times said he looked “dazed by an uppercut.” The Washington Post declared Privileged Patrick “unimpressive and not ready for prime-time.”

Well, he isn’t.

As Senator Rubio noted, Privileged Patrick—or should we say, Privileged Erin—changed his name, his party, and his address to run for Congress. He’s just another plastic politician armed with stale, substance-free talking points and a rich Daddy. After an hour of sputtering against a serious, policy-focused, middle-class champion like Marco Rubio, the choice for Floridians couldn’t be clearer.
