Today marks the six-month anniversary of the GOP tax cuts, and despite the radical doomsday rhetoric Tina Smith and Washington Democrats used to oppose the legislation, the tax cuts have already delivered massive benefits to Minnesotans.
Thus far, the tax cuts have led to bigger paychecks, new job opportunities and massive company investments in their workforces. Yet, Smith hasn’t voiced a single regret about Washington Democrats’ irresponsible decision to deny middle-class families the ability to keep more of their hard-earned money. Instead, she has sat and watched, as Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi have promised to rip away the economic benefits Minnesotans are seeing as a result of the tax cuts.
“After agreeing with Washington Democrats’ radical efforts to deny Minnesotans the opportunity to keep more of their hard-earned money, it’s clear the last thing voters can trust Tina Smith on is what to do with their money,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “When folks cast their ballots this November they are going to be thinking about the extra cash in their pockets and the reality that Smith and her Democratic colleagues want to take that away.”
