Today marks the six-month anniversary of the GOP tax cuts being signed into law, and despite the radical doomsday rhetoric Tammy Baldwin and Washington Democrats used to oppose the legislation, the tax cuts have already delivered massive benefits to Wisconsinites.
Thus far, the tax cuts have led to bigger paychecks, new job opportunities and massive company investments in their workforces. Yet, Baldwin hasn’t voiced a single regret about her irresponsible decision to deny middle-class families the ability to keep more of their hard-earned money. Instead, she has sat and watched, as Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi have promised to rip away the economic benefits Wisconsinites are seeing as a result of the tax cuts.
“After denying Wisconsinites the opportunity to keep more of their hard-earned money, it’s clear the last thing voters can trust Tammy Baldwin on is what to do with their money,” said NRSC Spokesman Calvin Moore. “When folks cast their ballots this November they are going to be thinking about the extra cash in their pockets and the reality that Baldwin and her Democratic colleagues want to take that away.”
