McDonald’s announced new benefits for its employees thanks to Republican tax reform.
The fast-food chain will be contributing $150 million over five years to expand its employee education program, which will help nearly 400,000 workers pursue educational opportunities. The company’s announcement comes on the heels of more than 450 businesses across the country that have delivered bonuses, wage increases and additional community and employee investments because of the historic tax cuts. But despite the law’s success, Senate Democrats continue to look for ways to repeal the legislation that’s putting money in people’s pockets.
“While everyday Americans continue to see the benefits of tax reform, red state Senate Dems still don’t have an answer about why they chose to support their party bosses over middle-class families,” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin. “When voters head to the polls in November, they will remember their Democratic Senator voted no to letting them keep more of their hard-earned money.”
