Nancy Pelosi is in Phoenix today where she’ll appear at sold out event for the Maricopa County Democratic Party. Unsurprisingly, Kyrsten Sinema is nowhere to be found.

The Pelosi visit to Arizona comes as the Democratic leader has said passing a single-payer health care system should be “on the table” if Democrats take the majority. We know Sinema has supported single-payer health care in Arizona similar to the $32 trillion boondoggle being pushed by fellow self-described socialist Bernie Sanders.

But maybe she didn’t want to draw attention to how she worked hard as Nancy Peloisi’s P.R. frontwoman to help “shape and promote” Obamacare, or maybe Sinema just didn’t want to appear with Pelosi and risk highlighting their mutual support for sanctuary cities and the Democrats’ open-border agenda.

Either way, Sinema has reason to be running scared.

On border security…

SINEMA: Sinema has voted repeatedly to continue funding sanctuary cities. (Roll Call Vote #455, 9/6/17, Sinema Voted Nay; Roll Call Vote #342, 6/29/17, Sinema Voted Nay)

PELOSI: Sanctuary cities “make us safer.” (CNN, 1/31/17)

On single payer…

SINEMA: Sinema has backed single payer health care legislation in Arizona. (H.B. 2752)

PELOSI: Medicare for all should be “on the table” if Democrats win the majority. (The Hill, 6/7/18)

On Obamacare…

SINEMA: Sinema was the only Arizona lawmaker appointed to a 32 member panel to help shape and promote Obamacare. (Anjanette Riley, “Arizona Rep. Sinema Asked To Help Reform U.S. Health Care System,” Arizona Capitol Times, 6/10/09)

PELOSI: “I’ve got to stay” to defend Obamacare. (Washington Post, 10/15/17)
