Washington Democrats sure are putting Joe Manchin in a bind.

Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has capitulated to the far left, and vowed to block President Trump’s unnamed nominee and the ninth seat on the Supreme Court open for the next four years.

Just last year, Joe Manchin was clear that he felt the Senate has a duty to consider a President’s Supreme Court nominees (at least when the President is a Democrat). Will Manchin stand with Democrat leaders in Washington and filibuster President Trump’s pick? Or will he stand by his past words and stick up for West Virginians, who voted for President Trump in a landslide?

“Joe Manchin owes it to West Virginians to oppose the liberals running his party and vote to confirm President Trump’s choice for the Supreme Court,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “If Joe Manchin lacks the courage to stand up to extremists like Elizabeth Warren and Chuck Schumer, he is unfit to represent West Virginia in the Senate.”
