Today, President Trump will announce his nominee to fill the vacant Supreme Court seat. It will be interesting to see what Jon Tester will say about this decision, after all he spent months touting the importance of having a full Supreme Court.

Democrat leaders in Washington have made it clear they will do whatever they can to block President Trump’s pick for the Supreme Court no matter who it is.

Will Jon Tester play politics with this critical nomination and follow Washington’s liberal leaders like he normally does? Or will he stand by his quotes that he gave only months ago?

Senator Tester’s previous statements on SCOTUS vacancies:

In March 2016, Sen. Tester Urged His Senate Colleagues “To Put Aside Politics, Roll Up Their Sleeves, And Start Governing Like The American People Deserve.” “Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont., called on colleagues to consider the nomination. ‘It’s now time for the Senate to fulfill its constitutional responsibility and do its job,’ Tester said via email. (…) I urge my Senate colleagues to put aside politics, roll up their sleeves, and start governing like the American people deserve.’ … (“Senators Split On Court Nominee,” Great Falls Tribune, 3/17/16)
