The Trump administration is preparing to correct the damage created by Heidi Heitkamp’s reckless actions.

Reports indicate the administration will propose repealing most of the harmful Obama-era methane rule that’s saddled North Dakota’s energy producers with onerous and duplicative regulations.

Despite claiming to be a defender of North Dakota’s energy industry, Heitkamp was the deciding vote last year to keep the harmful BLM methane rule in place. Her decision forced excessive costs on North Dakota’s energy industry and threatened jobs. The question now is whether Senator Heitkamp will voice her support for President Trump’s efforts to fix her costly mistake or will she once again oppose efforts to unleash North Dakota’s energy potential?

“Senator Heitkamp’s record shows that she repeatedly chooses to stand with Washington Democrats instead of hardworking North Dakotans,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “After failing North Dakota’s energy industry already, will Heitkamp abandon them again?”
