With a big week of votes on opioids and border security planned in the House this week, the big question is whether Kyrsten Sinema will even bother to show up for work.

Kyrsten Sinema has made running for higher office such a priority that she’s all but abandoned her responsibilities to Arizona’s 9th Congressional District. Earlier this month, Sinema packed up and bailed early from a hearing on the very same issues that will be voted on this week “less than 30 minutes after it began” in order to give herself time to make a fundraiser 2 hours away on the same day. (See the NRSC’s ad.)

Of course, doing nothing is Kyrsten Sinema’s M.O. In her 4 terms in Congress, Sinema has never introduced a bill that’s become law. Worse? While drug overdoses have continued to skyrocket, Sinema voted against additional border security at ports of entry where reports show 90% of illegal drugs enter the country.

Talk about failed leadership…

“Arizonans need a Senator who will actually show up and fight for them, not another do-nothing politician like Kyrsten Sinema,” said NRSC Spokesman Calvin Moore. “Voters know that Sinema will always put her own ambition over what’s best for Arizona families and they’ll hold her accountable for it this November.”
