Tester made headlines last week as one of only 17 Senators to vote against a waiver clearing the way for the highly-decorated General to serve as Secretary of Defense. Tester joined the far left, voting with such liberal extremists as Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders to block confirmation of General Mattis. Now with the final confirmation vote approaching, Tester must decide whether to honor the will of his constituents and confirm Mattis, or continue standing with left wing Democrats and reject this American hero.
“Last week, Jon Tester disgracefully voted to block General James Mattis, an American hero, from serving his country as Secretary of Defense,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “If Jon Tester continues to stand with the extreme Elizabeth Warren wing of his party in opposition to General Mattis, he will confirm that he stands with the far left, not with Montanans.”
