Heidi Heitkamp is so desperate for campaign contributions, she’ll take money from anyone, including her ethically compromised and corrupt colleague, disgraced New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez.
Heitkamp took $10,000 from Menendez’s PAC just two months ago, while he was still under a Senate Ethics Committee investigation for accepting bribes from a convicted felon.
With yesterday’s news that the Ethics Committee has completed its investigation and handed Menendez a letter of admonition as a result of his corrupt actions, will Heitkamp return the money? Or will she hope North Dakotans don’t notice the Senate Ethics Committee found that one of her donors “took action, over the course of several years, on behalf of one specific individual who repeatedly gave [him] many valuable gifts and who was also among [his] closest friends, which included direct contact with officials at the highest levels of government[?]”
