ABC affiliate WSOC Charlotte has confirmed Fox News’ reporting that DeCarlos Brown appears on a list of 3,500 prisoners that Roy Cooper released from prison early as part of a deal with the ACLU. Brown went on to murder Iryna Zarutska on the Charlotte Light Rail. The names of the prisoners Cooper tried to keep hidden from the public were never released until yesterday.

“There is no doubt Roy Cooper released DeCarlos Brown from prison early, and this report further confirms that fact. As Michael Whatley and Republicans have said all along, Cooper is responsible for Iryna Zarutska’s murder and the other victims of his soft-on-crimes policies. Cooper has blood on his hands,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia
