Days after Rob Portman announced raising $2.4 million in the first quarter of 2016, “Retread” Ted Strickland still hasn’t released his numbers.
Based on his underwhelming fundraising reports so far, this isn’t surprising.
Strickland has pulled out all the stops in order to live up to the “fundraising loser” title he won in April of last year. In fact, in the most recent reporting period, Retread Ted raised less than $500,000 for the January 1st to February 24th period…that was less than half of the $1.1 million raised by the Portman campaign in the same period.
Keep it up, Ted! No one’s going to take that title from you at this rate.
This period, however, Retread Ted had the fundraising help of Vice President Joe Biden for a private, high-dollar event.
The longer Retread Ted remains mum on his fundraising numbers, the more likely he is to maintain his “fundraising loser” status.
