WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Chuck Schumer vs. Bernie Sanders proxy war was on full display again tonight as Zach Wahls and Josh Turek took the debate stage. Wahls spent the entire time touting his endorsement from Elizabeth Warren while Josh Turek just seemed to spiral when called out on his record.
“The Schumer vs. Bernie Sanders wing proxy war is continuing in Iowa as their handpicked candidates face off on the debate stage,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell. “As Elizabeth Warren’s progressive momentum builds behind Zach Wahls, Josh Turek is clearly struggling when he can’t hide behind his benefactor Chuck Schumer.”
