The Chuck Schumer vs. Bernie Sanders wing proxy war continues in Iowa today with Zach Wahls and Josh Turek set for yet another matchup tonight. Fresh off his defeat in Maine, Schumer was the hot topic of the first debate last night. Wahls, who is scheduled to rally with Elizabeth Warren on Sunday, blasted Schumer’s failed leadership, vowed to never support him, and called out the Schumer-aligned dark money apparatus desperately working to save Turek.

“The next round of the Schumer vs. Bernie Sanders wing proxy war is taking place in Iowa between the Schumer-backed Josh Turek and Warren-backed Zach Wahls,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell. “Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren have already won one round in Maine, and with momentum building behind Wahls, time will tell if Schumer can carry his candidate across the finish line.”
