Tammy Baldwin’s disastrous record in Washington is continuing to have real world consequences for Wisconsin families. Just today, health insurance company Anthem announced they will pull out of Obamacare markets completely in the state.
Anthem said of the failing Obamacare: “Today, planning and pricing for ACA-compliant health plans has become increasingly difficult due to a shrinking and deteriorating individual market, as well as continual changes and uncertainty in federal operations, rules and guidance, including cost-sharing reduction subsidies and the restoration of taxes on fully insured coverage.”
Premiums are up 93% in the state and just last year United Healthcare announced they were leaving Wisconsin’s Obamacare exchange. Tammy Baldwin voted for and has supported this broken law since its creation even while people in Wisconsin are suffering.
“Instead of working across the aisle to find solutions for our country’s health care system, Tammy Baldwin has been an obstructionist politician who has defended Obamacare at every turn,” said Katie Martin, NRSC Communications Director. “Premiums are skyrocketing and access to care is dwindling, yet Baldwin refuses to fight for folks in Wisconsin.”
