Following a visit with college Democrats at Miami University, the Journal-News headline reads, “Strickland hopes senate race will be decided by message, track record.”

After a look at Strickland’s "track record," he may want to reconsider this statement.

  • While representing Ohio in Congress, Strickland missed more than 360 missed votes. In fact, the majority of Strickland’s missed votes occurred while he was campaigning for Governor. Strickland put politics above the job Ohioans elected him to do.
  • During his 12 years in Washington, Strickland sponsored 66 bills – but not one of Strickland’s 66 bills became law. Not a single bill was ever even brought to the House floor for a vote.

Bottom line: Ted Strickland is an ineffective legislator.
