Tammy Baldwin has decided to stand with Elizabeth Warren and the rest of the far left in their filibuster of Judge Neil Gorsuch, ignoring the will of Wisconsin voters and bowing to her party bosses in Washington.
Just months ago, Tammy Baldwin was front and center telling America that “We need nine,” but now Craig Gilbert of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting that Baldwin has had a change of heart, and would not only vote against Judge Gorsuch, but would also join the most extreme wing of her party to filibuster the Supreme Court nominee. Baldwin’s decision places her to the left of even former Vice President Joe Biden, who has voiced his support for giving Supreme Court nominees an up or down vote, and liberal MSNBC host Rachel Maddow who called Democrats’ plans to filibuster “radical.”
“By promising to filibuster Judge Gorsuch, Tammy Baldwin is once again demonstrating that she has more in common with Elizabeth Warren than with Wisconsin families,” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin. “Wisconsin voters deserve a Senator who represents their interests, not Tammy Baldwin who only cares about gaining favor with the far left.”
