The Washington Free Beacon reports an Arizona judge has demanded that Ruben Gallego provide justification for why he is now seeking over 670 redactions in the case file for his 2017 divorce. This comes after the judge overseeing the case said he saw no reason the divorce filing should be sealed and did not believe much, if any, of it should be kept from the public.

The Free Beacon sued to have Gallego’s divorce filing unsealed amid questions surrounding why Gallego left his wife when she was nearly nine months pregnant, just days before the birth of his first child.

NRSC Statement: “If Ruben Gallego has nothing to hide, why is he working overtime to avoid telling Arizona voters why he abandoned his wife when she was nearly nine months pregnant? Arizonans deserve the truth from their leaders, but Gallego clearly wants to hide it from them.” – NRSC Spokesman Tate Mitchell
