WASHINGTON, D.C. —The NRSC launched a new digital ad attacking Democrat Dan Osborn on the launch of what will be his second failed run for U.S. Senate in Nebraska. Osborn, who claims to be an “independent,” lost his 2024 campaign attempt despite Democrats spending millions of dollars in his favor.
“Dan Osborn is a Bernie Sanders Democrat who apparently can’t take no for an answer,” said NRSC Communications Director Joanna Rodriguez. “Nebraskans rejected Democrat Dan after Chuck Schumer and national Democrats spent millions to prop up his fake ‘independent’ campaign and they’ll do it again in 2026.”
Throughout this campaign, expect Dan Osborn to have to answer for:
- His embrace of radical, far-left priorities like Medicare-for-All and the Green New Deal, which would devastate Nebraska families;
- The support he received from national Democrats in 2024, including nearly $4 million in outside spending, a maxed out donation from the DSCC directly to his campaign, $5,000 from Chuck Schumer’s leadership PAC to his campaign, access to fundraising on ActBlue, and additional donations from Elizabeth Warren and members of the Soros family;
- Increased scrutiny for paying himself, his wife, and his daughter using campaign donations;
- A potential FEC violation for breaking campaign finance laws; and
- Numerous scandals, including his alleged use of the infamous affair website Ashley Madison and his liking explicit gay porn on social media accounts.
