New polling from the Washington Post and University of Maryland show former Governor Larry Hogan beating both of his potential Democrat opponents in hypothetical match ups this fall.
Governor Hogan left office with historic approval ratings, and the new poll shows he leads both Democratic candidates by double digits. Hogan leads Congressman David Trone 49 percent to 37 percent, and he leads Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks 50 percent to 36 percent.
NRSC Statement: “This poll shows why Democrats are panicking about Maryland. Marylanders know and trust Larry Hogan, and they are eager to see him represent them in Washington the same way he did for eight years as governor.” – NRSC Spokesman Tate Mitchell
