WASHINGTON, D.C. — National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) Chairman Tim Scott released the following statement commenting on President Trump’s “complete and total endorsement” of Mike Rogers for the Michigan U.S. Senate race:
“President Trump is all in for Mike. I’m all in for Mike. Republicans are all in for Mike. Michigan is all in for Mike. Mike Rogers is the leader who will grow President Trump’s Senate Majority in 2026.”
BACKGROUND
Scott and Senate Republican Majority Leader John Thune endorsed Mike Rogers earlier this year. The NRSC has said Michigan is a Toss-Up Senate race and one of the best opportunities for Republicans to grow their Senate Majority in 2026.
Trump’s endorsement comes as Michigan Democrats navigate a messy four-way primary between increasingly radical candidates: Bernie Sanders-endorsed Abdul El-Sayed, Progressive State Senator Mallory McMorrow, Wannabe Squad Member Rep. Haley Stevens, and Michigan’s first and only Black Speaker of the House Joe Tate.
