The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that weeks before Tammy Baldwin told Wisconsinites to “stay home” and avoid hosting holiday gatherings with their families during the pandemic, she billed taxpayers for a personal trip to visit her girlfriend in New York City.

Baldwin appears to have regularly visited New York under the guise of official travel since she and her girlfriend met in 2018.

NRSC Statement: “It takes a special kind of arrogance to tell Wisconsin taxpayers not to see their loved ones for the holidays while you bill them for a vacation to see your girlfriend. Tammy Baldwin should change her campaign slogan to ‘do as I say not as I do.’” – NRSC Spokesman Tate Mitchell
